History of Oak Grove Community Church
The Oak Grove Community Church is so-called because of its location, surrounded by a beautiful grove of oak trees. The Church is located in rural Madison County next to the Roseman Covered Bridge on the of the Middle River near Winterset, Iowa. Oak Grove Community Church is the oldest active Church in Madison County. The present Church building was built in 1889, however, the Church originated in the mid-1840's, and met in various schoolhouses and homes until the present building was constructed.

PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you are not 100% sure of how you stand before God today and know beyond a shadow a doubt that if you died this day that you would go to Heaven and be with Jesus for all eternity and If God has touched your heart today and made you aware of your need for Him then I would ask you to surrender yourself to Him today and accept His offer of salvation.
Find a quiet place and repeat his prayer in sincerity of heart.
" Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and have fallen far short of what You have for me to be. I realize that it is my sin that separates me from You.
Right now I ask you to forgive me all my sins, past, present and future sins.
I am sorry for them and ask your forgiveness. Today I believe that Jesus came to pay the price for my sin by His giving His life for me on the cross.
I believe that He rose from the dead on the third day and secured for me the promise and hope of eternal life with You.
Today I surrender my life to You and ask that you come to reside within my heart and be the Lord and the Savior of my life and help me daily to live the life you have for me to live.
And I thank you Jesus for now saving me.
Amen."

Romans 10:9-11 (NKJV) That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
